# 22. Join the airdrop whitelist

Verify your wallet for random creator distributions and leave the list when you choose.

**Open:** [Airdrop whitelist](https://spawnmeme.com/airdrop). Joining gives your wallet a chance to receive tokens from creators who choose to distribute them.

## Eligibility

At joining time, the wallet must hold some official $SPAWN or have a qualifying prior trade on SPAWN. The page's **Check again** action checks your current status. A failed balance lookup is not the same as a confirmed ineligible balance.

The interface directs qualifying trading through SPAWN token pages. Do not assume activity on another app or Spawn Swap satisfies the check. There is no need to trade repeatedly to join.

## Join

1. Choose **Connect wallet** and confirm the address where you want tokens delivered.
2. Wait for the eligibility check.
3. If eligible, choose **Join the whitelist**.
4. Sign the free wallet-ownership message when requested.
5. Confirm **is on the whitelist** or **You are on the whitelist**.

If your wallet is drawn for a creator's distribution, the tokens arrive directly. You do not need to connect to a claim site, pay a claim fee or sign again to receive that distribution.

## Leave

Reconnect the same wallet and choose **Take my wallet off the list**. Sign ownership verification if requested. This removes future whitelist participation; it does not undo tokens already received or erase public blockchain records.

## Expectations and costs

Joining is free and uses a message, not a payment transaction. One entry is maintained per wallet. Creators decide whether and how much to send, and recipients are drawn at random. Participation guarantees neither selection nor token value. Eligibility is checked when joining; the page explains that you stay listed afterward unless removed or you leave.

## Troubleshooting

| Message                           | What to do                                                                                                 |
| --------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Cannot join yet | Read which condition is missing. Confirm that the balance/trade belongs to this wallet. |
| Balance could not be read | Wait and choose **Check again**; do not treat it as proof you need to buy. |
| Recent trade not counted | Allow a few minutes for indexing and recheck. |
| Removed by SPAWN | The page indicates that this wallet cannot rejoin. Ask support about an error if you believe one occurred. |
| Signed but no joined confirmation | Refresh/recheck status with the same wallet before repeating. |
| No airdrops received | Selection is not guaranteed. There may be no active creator distribution. |

Treat unsolicited “claim your SPAWN airdrop” links as unrelated to this direct-distribution flow. [Creators can send airdrops here](/spawnmeme-docs/feature-guides/community-and-rewards/23-send-airdrops.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://spawnmeme.gitbook.io/spawnmeme-docs/feature-guides/community-and-rewards/22-airdrop-whitelist.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
